Set off along the elevated walkway and discover the marsh’s spectacular fauna and flora!
This enormous protected area is free to visit and accessible all year round via a raised walkway with information panels and observation points along the way.
There are several different ways to visit Lavours Marsh:
See how everything changes at night – the sounds, the atmosphere… Watch wildlife come alive and experience nature in action.
Excursions and ornithological tours take place throughout the day to observe wildlife and listen to animals’ calls – listen out for the deer’s bellow – and discover marsh birds and animals – newts, toads and frogs, such as the yellow-bellied toad.
Set off from Lavours on a cruise along the Upper Rhone and the Savières Canal
Why not go on the “Big Tour” river cruise, which takes 2 hours 15 minutes and departs from Lavours. Laugh along with the captain as he tells you tales of past and present, recounting the history of the River Rhone and Savières Canal. Journey along the river and discover nature.
The circuit includes the channelled Rhone, Savières Lock passages and Savières Canal and refreshments are available on-board.
