Unravel the mysteries of the universe at CERN

#CERN #MysteriesOfTheUniverse #BirthplaceOfTheNet
Visit CERN, on the doorstep of Geneva and on the Swiss border but still in the region of Ain, and unravel the mysteries of the Universe. In this unique scientific research centre, like no other in the world, everything is on a whole other scale – simply gigantic. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC), for instance, the largest particle accelerator in the world, measures 27km in circumference!
The infinitely small is studied here, the smallest possible things in the Universe… just unimaginably small!
Visite du CERN

One of the largest science labs in the world

For scientists, engineers, physicists and computer engineers worldwide, CERN is the most iconic lab in the world, but it really does make an impression on everyone who visits it.
How did the universe evolve? What is it made of? These are the kind of fundamental questions that passionate researchers here are seeking to answer – and visitors are just as intrigued to know the answers.

Exploring this unique site is a moment you’ll never forget, no matter how much or how little you know about science.

Exhibitions and visits to CERN

Why not start your visit to CERN by exploring the informative exhibitions? The ‘Universe of Particles‘ exhibition will engross you in the great questions of contemporary physics, currently being explored here at CERN. In ‘Microcosm‘, follow the path of the fundamental particles which make up our universe, and learn about the monumental equipment used in CERN experiments.

Guided tours take place throughout the year, but don’t forget to book online, as demand is extremely high! Both the exhibitions and guided tours are free of charge and suitable for everyone over 10 years of age.
