In a modern setting, the team offers a regional cuisine, Bresse chicken with yellow wine, frogs, meats, quenelles, meats and desserts "home made".
An excellent cuisine under the sign of Versaud for 42 years.
Located in the heart of Viriat, a small town of 6,000 souls, five minutes from the center of Bourg-en-Bresse, the Versaud restaurant is a family affair, having been created in 1978 by Colette and Jacques, the parents of David, who studied at the Bellegarde-sur-Valserine hotel school. Nowadays, David presides over the restaurant with Laurence, his wife, ensuring a warm welcome and a friendly service to their numerous customers.
On the kitchen side, Patrick and Nicolas have been in charge of the kitchen for 34 years, serving with their brigade a very high quality cuisine which does not deviate from French cuisine and Bresse gastronomy with its fresh frogs, its famous Bresse chicken in cream sauce, but also fish (sea bass and sole) which contribute to the reputation of the house.
We appreciate the home cooking, a beautiful wine list, all served in three tastefully decorated rooms, and with a large shaded terrace, with a total capacity of 130 covers for seminar meals. A glass wall offers a beautiful view of a well-stocked cellar open to tasting.
