Bugey wines have just become Ain’s fourth gourmet product to be protected by the Protected Designation of Origin appellation, joining Comté, Bleu de Gex cheese and, of course, Bresse chicken as the stars of a range of products deeply rooted in their region. There are plenty of other culinary delights on offer, such as Quenelles in Nantua sauce, freshly caught Dombes fish and Ramequin du Bugey cheese, all guaranteed to get your taste buds tingling!
