In 2024, Impressionism celebrated its 150th anniversary. The Pont-de-Vaux museum has decided to highlight its eponymous painter Antoine Chintreuil through a highly original exhibition. An innovative immersive sound system, documentary film and large-scale drawings by David Giraudon will enable visitors to discover the life of the painter, the bohemian milieu, his friendships with leading Parisian intellectuals and businessmen, his doubts and his fame. The exhibition also provides an opportunity to explore Impressionism, which lay at the heart of Giraudon's research.
