Orienteering: Geneva Cup
Présentation
Whether you're from CERN or further afield, whether you're a sportsman or a family, a runner or a walker, a child or an adult, take part in this popular race! Can you find all the markers?
The Coupe Genevoise comprises a dozen races in different forests in the Geneva region, organised in collaboration with other orienteering clubs in Switzerland and neighbouring France. Each race offers 5 or 6 different routes:
- 3 easy courses (short, medium and long), with markers located exclusively on or near paths and tracks. These routes are designed for beginners who are starting to learn how to read a map.
- 3 technical routes (short, medium and long), which have in common the fact that the paths between the posts rarely use paths or tracks. You'll need to be very good at reading the map and using your compass if you want to succeed on these routes.
