There is also is also a red wine that is made exclusively from the Mondeuse cépage. Additionally there are 2 varieties of sparkling wine available, a Bugey Brut made using the method traditionnelle vinification technique and a sparkling demi-sec rosé which is similar in style to a Cerdon-Mousseux. All wines produced at the Caveau de Vareppe are done so by hand and are bottled on the estate which also has a large tasting room available where proprietor Jean-Marc will be happy to advise you on your choice of wine.
