Whether you’re looking to play sport or relax, enjoy the great outdoors in Miribel Jonage
Miribel Jonage Grand Parc is an outdoor protected area on the banks of the Rhone and as much a resting place as hub of activity. With its sweeping wooded spaces, you can laze about away from the crowds, take a break between swims to picnic with your family on the grass, or – for a fully outdoor experience – you can even cycle here from Lyon!
If you’re looking to get active, there is golf, tennis, sailing, mountain biking and many more activities on offer at different sites within the 2,200-hectare park. There really is something for everyone to enjoy and to keep you coming back again and again!
The park is also known for the events that take place here throughout the seasons – from orienteering in February and egg hunts every April, to Woodstower festival in August and the Autumn festival.
A monumental statue watching over Miribel
For even more fresh air, a visit to the Virgin Mary of Mas Rillier is a must. Towering over the Grand Parc and the town of Miribel, the statue offers a viewpoint which embraces the city of Lyon and beyond. The concrete statue houses a small chapel and a staircase takes you to viewing platform at the top… after climbing up the 150 steps, of course!
